Netanyahu on 'nationality bill' : Democracy is ensured, Jewish character isn't

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the "nationality bill" during a meeting of the Israeli and Czech governments.

"Recognition of Israel as the national state of the Jewish people is the basis of any peace agreement," he said. "Israel has always been and will remain an exemplary democracy."

"Democracy is ensured in Israel, he added. What's being challeneged is Israel's existence as the national Jewish state."
