South African president says Israel defies world

South African President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday accused Israel of "defying the world" and called for "a total halt to all settlements" in a joint news conference with Mahmoud Abbas in Pretoria. He said that building settlements "undermines hopes for a solution on the principle of two states, as provided in the UN and the international community."
"The reality is that the vast majority of the world agrees with the solution of two states living together peacefully, but we have a problem with a country that defies all others," Zuma said. "This is a problem. I do not think that the system should not allow one country to defy the world. This is unacceptable."
