Egyptian president's office refuses response to Mubarak's dropped charges
The office of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi declined to respond to the dropped charges against former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak "in order to protect the absolute independence of the judiciary."
However his office did say that "New Egypt is moving toward the establishment of a modern, democratic state based on justice, liberty, equality and fighting corruption."
Meanwhile, el-Sisi's office adopted the general recommendation of the court with respect to the compensation and treatment of families of those killed and injured during the 2011 revolution.
