Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the government crisis at the beginning of a Knesset Likud faction meeting on Monday, saying, “I believe that a government must work in harmony, and in an attempt to reach this, I backed things that I was not at ease with such as the 0% VAT plan. But I did not win mutual trust, loyalty or responsibility.
“Certain ministers are attacking the policy I am leading and for which I was elected, including construction in Jerusalem, and thus strengthening the international criticism of Israel.
