FBI: Investigating hack into Sony computers
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed that computers of the American production company Sony were hacked last week, causing extensive internal damage to the company's computers.
The company's email accounts were frozen, and copies of movies, including some that have not yet aired in theaters, were distributed on illegal file sharing websites.
The FBI announced it would investigate the hacking and is checking whether there is a connection between the incident and film distribution online. Additionally, the FBI warned American businesses about the hacking and requested companies to protect their information.
