Islamic State group leader's wife arrested on border crossing between Lebanon and Syria

One of the wives of Islamic State group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was arrested on a border crossing between Lebanon and Syria according to the Lebanese As-Safir Newspaper, which is associated with Hezbollah.

 

The Lebanese newspaper reported that the intelligence apparatus of the Lebanese army, in coordination with foreign security services arrested al-Baghdadi's wife who had been traveling with a fake identity and one of her children.

 

After she was arrested, she was transferred to the Lebanese Ministry of Defense located in the suburbs of Beirut, while security forces continued to investigate her.
