Kerry: We hope new gov't can move towards Israeli-Palestinian peace
US Secretary of State John Kerry refused to comment on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to fire two of his key ministers and go to elections on Tuesday, but said that he hoped any new Israeli government will move towards a two-state solution.
"We hope ... that those elections will produce the possibility of a government that can negotiate and move towards resolving the differences between Israelis and Palestinians, and obviously, the differences in the region," he said.
