French national sentenced to 5 years in French prison for Tel Aviv hit-and-run
A French court sentenced Eric Robic, a French national who ran over and killed Israeli Lee Zeitouni with his car in 2001 and then fled to France, was sentenced to 5 years in prison on Wednesday.
Robic admitted that he had been driving under the influence of alcohol when he ran over Zeitouni in 2001.
Claude Isaa Khayat, who sat in the passenger side of the car during the hit-and-run, was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
