Prisoner indicted for transferring mobile phones and taking bribes in Ashkelon

Southern District Prosecution filed an indictment against a prisoner of the Shikma Prison in Ashkelon for transferring mobile phones to a security prisoner, taking bribes and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The indictment revealed that in exchange for transferring the mobile phone to the prisoner, who is serving four life sentences, the other prisoner received NIS 25 thousand.

"His actions are part of a chain of incidents involving phone smuggling that present a risk to the security of Israel and it must be prevented," the indictment reads.
