Report: Alleged Israeli strike in Syria targeted missiles from Russia

The alleged Israeli airstrikes that hit the suburbs of Damascus on Sunday were targeting new Russian-made missiles that were supposed to reach the hands of Hezbollah, Syrian sources told the Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper on Monday.

According to the same sources, assessments of the attack at the a'Rai airport in the town of al-Dimas near Syria's border with Lebanon show that it was an attempt to hit the warehouse of advanced air defense missiles recently received from Russia.
