Rouhani says falling oil prices due to 'betrayal'
President of Iran Hassan Rouhani said the sharp fall in oil prices around the world is a result of “betrayal.” He hinted that various countries across the world, one of them most likely Tehran’s main rival in the oil industry –Saudi Arabia.
Rouhani said Saudi Arabia’s motive in falling oil prices is “not just economic.”
Oil prices have fallen 40% since June causing heavy pressure on the Iranian economy which has already been dealing with sanction following the country’s nuclear program.
