Palestinian leaders to review security coordination with Israel following minister's death
Top Palestinian official Saeb Erekat said that the Palestinian leadership plans to meet on Friday for a discussion following the death of Minister Ziad Abu Ein. The issue of security coordination between Israel and the PA will be brought up, but its status has not changed.
"We will demand international protection from the UN secretary general and redefine relations with Israel, including halting security coordination," he said. However, a source in Ramallah told Ynet that the question of halting coordination is merely declarative. "The security coordination will continue, but in a quieter fashion," said the source.
