Foreign Ministry: French recognition of Palestinian state distances chance of peace
The Foreign Ministry responded to the decision of the French parliament to call for the recognition of a Palestinian state and said that the "decision distances the chance of a peace agreement and sends the world message to the Palestinians who are not willing to follow the path of negotiations."
"The decision was made by a narrow majority and Israel thanks the many French senators who refused to support it," said the Foreign Ministry.
