Protest breaks out in Jerusalem against Lehava organization

None

Around 250 protesters gathered at the Zion Square in Jerusalem on Saturday evening demanding that the Lehava organization, whose members were allegedly behind an arson attack at a Jewish-Arab bilingual school, be outlawed.

The Lehava organization opposes Jewish assimilation, especially interfaith marriages between Jews and non-Jews.

The protestors chanted against the organization and criticized the government for not doing enough to eradicate racism and price tag attacks.

The protesters chanted "Jerusalem will not shut up, racism is outside the law," and "Racism and hatred brought to you by the government." Several right-wing activists arrived at the scene and started a counter-protest.
