UN Security Council condems Israeli embassy shooting in Athens
The United Nations Security Council condemned the shooting at the Israeli embassy in Athens, and underscored the need to bring the perpetrators to justice. The council lauded Greek authorities for their speedy response.
Ron Prosor, Israel's ambassador to the UN, said that "we demand that the international community stand beside us," and added that the incident was "a reminder that non of us is immune to extremism and evil."
