Gov't approves program to promote gender equality
The government has approved the preparation of a national program to promote gender equality. The name of the The Authority for the Advancement of the Status of Women will be changed to the Authority for the Advancement of Gender Equality, and its organizational structure will beo verhauled.
In addition, the government decided that implementing gender awareness in government offices should begin in 2015. Ministers were instructed to report on International Women's Day in March the progress made in their offices towards gender equality.
