Palestinian leaders will request UN Security Council 'end Israeli occupation in 2 years'
Palestinian leaders decided to turn to the UN Security Council on Wednesday with a request to announce "the end of the Israeli occupation within two years." The decision to turn to the UN was made during a meeting held by Palestinian Authority leaders held at the Mukataa in Ramallah on Sunday.
The request to the UN Security Council will be made by Jordan which is a temporary member of the council.
US Secretary of State John Kerry is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Rome on Monday and with Palestinian representative in London on Tuesday.
