Egypt: US has yet to make good on promise of 10 Apache helicopters
Despite promises made by the United States, Egypt has yet to receive a shipment of ten Apache helicopters as part of the renewal of Washington's military aid to Cairo, an Egyptian army source told Al Masry al Youm on Saturday.
The source said the US was dragging its feet on aid to Egypt because of internal political disagreements.
The source added, however, that the delay had no effect on the Egyptian army, "and ties between Cairo and Washington are strategic and are not greatly affected by the positions of extremists in the US."
