Egypt convicts man of spying for Israel

An Egyptian court on Saturday convicted a man on charges of spying for Israel and sentenced him to ten years in prison. The suspect allegedly passed confidential information to the Mossad about naval movements through Suez Canal in exchange for money.

 

The court also sentenced two Israeli Mossad officers, Binyamin Shaul and David Meir, in absentia to life imprisonment .
