Gas pipeline from Sinai to Jordan blown up

Unknown parties blew up the gas pipeline to Jordan in Al-Arīsh in the Sinai early Tuesday morning. This was the 27th attempt to tamper the pipeline since the January 25, 2011 revolution that ousted former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak.

Responsibility for previous attempts has been claimed by terror organizations in the Sinai, chief among them Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, which has become the local Islamic State affiliate.
