National Council for the Child report: 55% rise in child poverty in Israel

A report released on Thursday by the Israel National Council for the Child (NCC) noted that while there was a decrease in the number of poor children in Israel in 2013, there was an overall 55 percent rise in child poverty over the past 15 years.

 

The report also noted that Israeli children take more drugs but drink less alcohol, copy in exams but commit fewer crimes and smoke less.
