Rivlin: We must not ignore poverty in Arab, Haredi societies

President Reuven Rivlin commented Thursday on a report released by the Israel National Council for the Child (NCC) on child poverty, saying that Israel, "which is characterized by its relatively younger population compared to other countries in the Western world, must not ignore the circles of poverty and distress, especially in closed societies - the Arab and Haredi."

The report showed a 55 percent rise in child poverty in Israel over the past 15 years.
