3 Afghans said dead in foreign forces' air strike
An Afghan official says at least three people have been killed in an air strike by US-led coalition forces but villagers in the remote area dispute the official version, saying the dead are civilians who were protecting their land from nomads. Din Mohammad Darwesh, spokesman for the governor of Logar province, says a delegation has been sent to find out exactly what happened in Baraki Barak district Friday morning.
He says that the US-led coalition has told the governor's officers that the dead, and another five who were wounded, were Taliban insurgents.
