Report: Islamic State group claims to have taken down coalition plane in Iraq
Sky News Arabia reported Monday that local sources in Iraq said that the Islamic State group had taken down a coalition plane. According to the report, the plane was taken down during an attack by coalition forces against the group's posts in northern Iraq. The sources did not specify what type of plane was taken down and to which country it belongs.
Al Jazeera and the Turkish news site Anatolia aired a statement read by the Islamic State group on the group's official radio station Al Bayan in which the terrorist group claimed that the pilot had been captured. The report has not been confirmed by official sources as of yet.
