Indictment filed against two residents of E. J'lem for allegedly joining Hamas and planning J'lem attack
The Jerusalem District Attorney filed an indictment with the Jerusalem District Court against the brothers Shaaban bin Ahmad Hammad, 28, and Mohammed bin Ahmad Hammad, 23, from East Jerusalem on charges of membership in a terrorist organization, contact with a foreign agent, conspiracy and other offenses.
According to the indictment, Shaaban bin Ahmad Hammad complied with a request of a Hamas member from Gaza to join the terror organization. Shaaban then drafted his brother into the organization and the two attempted to find another member to help them create a Hamas military cell that would carry out attacks in Jerusalem.
