Four police officers arrested on suspicion of abusing detainee 3 years ago
The Police Investigation Department of the State Attorney's office arrested on Wednesday four police officers in southern Israel on suspicion they took part in abusing a detainee three years ago.
According to the suspicion, the abuse entailed pouring boiling water on the detainee several times during the investigation which caused the detainee to suffer burns on several parts of his body.
The four suspected police officers will be brought to the Jerusalem Magistrates court on Wednesday morning for a hearing that will determine whether their remand is extended.
