Netanyahu will not participate in Paris rally because of security concerns
Sources within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said on Saturday that an option to send Netanyahu to the rally against extremism that will take place in Paris on Sunday was considered but ultimately denied.
"Because of the difficulty for securing the prime minister of Israel during the event which includes a march in the street it looks like the visit will not be possible," said the sources. "The short time-table for the mission also impacted the decision."
According to the sources, the possibility of sending the prime minister to another event scheduled for next week that will be held by France's Jewish community is also being considered.
