Palestinian minister: Hamas to blame for Erez crossing closure
Minister for Civil Affairs in the Palestinian Authority, Hussein al-Sheikh, issued a statement on Monday in which he blamed Hamas for the closing of the Erez crossing.
According to the minister, the border crossing was closed because Hamas took over the matter and forced PA officials to withdraw from operating the crossing. Al-Sheikh apologized in the message to Palestinian civilians for the termination of the PA's work at the crossing and made it clear that Hamas endangers the Palestinian citizens and the Palestinian Authority workers at the crossing.
