Argentina: Prosecutor who accuses President of aiding Iran after AMIA attack found dead

Alberto Nisman, the AMIA prosecutor who accused Argentine President Cristina Kirchner of ordering impunity for the Iranian suspects in the 1994 AMIA attack in Buenos Aires in order to improve trade relations with Iran, was found dead in his Puerto Madero apartment on Monday.

Argentine media reports said that police were in the process of determining whether Nisman's death was a murder or suicide.

Nisman was scheduled to give his testimony against Argentina's sitting president on Monday in a closed-door congressional hearing. Nisman's planned statements for the hearing were found in writing on his desk.
