Syrian official says a car bomb has exploded in a market in the central city of Homs, killing several people.
The official said the blast happened Wednesday in a busy market in the pro-government neighborhood of Akrama. The official said: "There are martyrs and wounded people."
Syrian state television said the explosion wounded several people, but did not elaborate.
Lebanon's Al-Manar satellite television channel, owned by the militant Hezbollah group, said the blast killed at least seven people.
