Lebanon's parliament speaker: 'Israeli attack was strategic error'

The speaker of Lebanon's parliament, Nabih Berri, said in a meeting with MPs that Israel committed a "strategic error", referring to an airstrike in Quneitra that foreign media attributed to Israel, "because it placed Iran on its border and on a direct path to confrontation with it."

Berri is the leader of the Amal movement closely associated with Hezbollah.
