President Rivlin: King Abdullah an example of responsible leadership rooted in religious tradition
President Reuven Rivlin praised Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah who passed away on Friday and said: "The King Abdullah was an example of rooted, balanced and responsible leadership with a deep religious tradition. As the guardian of the holy places of Islam he acted as a moderator who respected the feelings and holiness of Jerusalem and sought to promote a vision of a prosperous area. His wise policy contributed greatly to the balance and stability of the Middle East."
