Egypt health ministry: 23 dead, 97 wounded on one year anniversary of revolution

The Egyptian health ministry announced Monday that 23 people had been killed and 97 wounded during clashes between Egyptian security forces and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood that took place on Sunday.

Tahrir Square was reopened on Monday after being cordoned off on Sunday on the one year anniversary of the January 25 revolution in order to prevent protests from erupting in the area. Security presence was still visible near the square on Monday.
