Israeli soccer legend Eli Ohana told Bayit Yehudi Chairman Naftali Bennett on Thursday that he would not run for a Knesset seat. "I did not expect the public outrage raised in the wake of my decision to enter politics, and I do not believe that I am built for that at this stage in my life."
Bennett came under after he announced Ohana would join Bayit Yehudi earlier in the week - many interpreted the move as an attempt to gain the votes of Beitar Jerusalem soccer fans.
