Report: Egyptian air force hits targets in Sinai
The Egyptian air force targeted radical Islamists on Saturday in east al-Arish and Sheikh Zuweid in the Sinai Peninsula, according to the Al Arabiya network.
Egyptian security forces were attacked on Thursday at three different locations, resulting in the death of 30 soldiers. The Islamic State's local affiliate initially took responsibility for the coordinated attacks, while on Friday night Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi blamed the Muslim Brotherhood for playing a key role.
