Israel Police: Crash in Negev may have been caused by tractor that exceeded allowable width

A police source said Tuesday that initial investigations into the deadly car accident in the Negev revealed that the tractor that was being transported by a truck probably exceeded the allowable width and thus hit the side of the bus carrying Bedouin women.

Deputy Commander of the police traffic department, Brigadier General Albert Ohayon, said to journalists during a press conference that the police were checking the cause of the crash and whether it was caused by "human error" by one of the drivers.

Ohayon also announced that a special investigation team would be created to investigate the crash that led to the death of 8 women in their fifties.
