Report: Jordanian airstrikes kill 35 Islamic State members in Iraq

According to a Sky News Arabic report, 35 Islamic State group militants have been killed in the last day by air strikes carried out by the Royal Jordanian Air Force in the city of Mosul in northern Iraq.

 

According to the Sky report, this is the first of attack of this scale to be carried out by the Jordanians and the airstrikes targeted several areas in the northern Iraqi city.

 

According to a report by the pan-Arab newspaper Al-Hayat, Jordan has advanced its troops to its border with Iraq.

 

Furthermore, the London-based pan-Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported on Friday that Jordan will carry out commando operations on the ground in cooperation with the international coalition; however, Jordan will not engage in a full-out ground operation.
