An initial investigation into the death of the Israeli ruled out the possibility that the young man was sitting on the roof of the carriage.
According to the investigation, the train stopped and then began moving again - at which point the young Israeli bent down and fell. He was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Indian police informed the Israeli embassy of his death. The Foreign Ministry and the Israeli embassy in New Delhi were working to bring the body back to Israel.
