2 in serious condition, 12 lightly injured in car crash on Route 1

A man and woman, around the age of 60, were seriously injured during a car accident that involved three vehicles on Route 1, near Ben Gurion Airport. Twelve individuals were lightly injured as a result of the crash on Saturday.

The man and woman in serious condition were taken to Sheba Medical Center and the other lightly injured individuals were taken to Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center, near Ben Gurion Airport. The Transport Authority has launched an investigation into teh accident.

Earlier in the week, 8 Bedouin women died during a fatal crash between a truck carrying a tractor and a bus on Route 31.
