US jury to decide if Palestinian groups to blame for attacks
A New York City jury is being asked to decide whether to hold Palestinian authorities responsible for terror attacks in Israel that killed or wounded Americans.
Defense attorney Mark Rochon told jurors in closing arguments Thursday that there is no evidence the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority sanctioned six attacks from 2002 to 2004. He argued that an entire organization can't be held liable for actions of the suicide bombers and gunmen who acted on their own. The plaintiffs were to give their closing arguments later Thursday.
