Poll: Argentina's Fernandez approval rating driven down by Nisman

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez's popularity has been driven down by the mysterious death of an investigator who accused the populist leader of trying to cover up a deadly 1994 bombing on a Jewish community center, a poll showed on Monday.

According to a poll by consultancy Management and Fit, Fernandez's popularity fell to 29.8 percent from 32.5 percent before Nisman accused her of conspiring to cover up Iran's alleged involvement in the bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center. "The main factor that explains this drop is the Nisman case," said Management & Fit economist Maximo Pisa.
