Palestinian killed during clashes with IDF troops; soldier lightly wounded
A 19-year-old Palestinian was killed overnight Tuesday during clashes with IDF troops in the Deheisha Refugee Camp near the West Bank city of Bethlehem. The troops had been deployed as part of an operation to locate a wanted person, during which riots broke out which included the throwing of stones and bricks from rooftops at soldiers.
After failing to disperse the riot using crowd control measures, the troops opened fire towards one of the rioters, who was killed as a result. One of the soldiers was lightly wounded in the incident.
