US House speaker: Netanyahu speech to Congress not destructive to Israel relationship
U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday he strongly disagreed with the assertion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming speech to Congress would be destructive to US-Israeli relations.
"I couldn't disagree more," Boehner said at a new conference in reference to a comment from Susan Rice, President Barack Obama's national security adviser.
Rice warned against allowing the US-Israeli relationship to be reduced to a party political issue, saying it would be destructive.
