Syrian activists say government airstrikes on a Damascus suburb have killed at least 18 people, including children.
The Local Coordination Committees activist collective and the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights say Sunday's air raids targeted Douma, located northwest of the capital.
Observatory director Rami Abdurrahman says there were four strikes and that 18 people were killed and more than 100 wounded, many of them seriously. He says the death toll could rise.
The Local Coordination Committees said dozens of people were killed and wounded.
