Report: Tony Blair to announce resignation as Quartet envoy to Mideast

Former British prime minister Tony Blair is expected to announce his resignation from the role of Quartet envoy to the Middle East this week, according to the Financial Times.
According to the report, Western diplomats said that Blair is no longer effective and has lost his credibility in that part of the world. Blair's office refused to comment.
