Hiker falls to his death in the Eilat Mountains

A resident of northern Israel in his 50s died Thursday after falling during a hike in the Eilat Mountains. The hiker had difficulty walking, tripped and fell from a height of 50 meters. He was found lying on the ground.
An airborne unit doctor from the 669 unit pronounced the man's death. The man's body was recovered by the unit along with Eilat's volunteer rescue unit.
