Report: Gulf nations say Iran's regional ambitions more concerning than nuclear program
Leaders of the Gulf nations told US President Barack Obama following the declaration of a framework agreement between Iran and world powers that their concern is not Iran's nuclear program, but rather its regional plans for expansion and its attempts to spark a sectarian civil war, according to diplomatic sources quoted in the London-based Al Arab newspaper.
The newspaper claimed that representatives of Arab states expressed displeasure in meetings with American officials at the US emphasis on the nuclear issue while, they said, ignoring Iran's destructive role in Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain.
