A new study by researchers at Israel's Technion's cancer research center could hold a key to controlling the growth of cancer cells.
In a paper published last week in the journal CELL, the team reported the discovery of two cancer-suppressing proteins which have been unknown until know.
The research, conducted in the lab of Nobel Prize winner in chemistry Prof. Aaron Ciechanover, was led by Dr. Yelena Kravtsova-Ivantsiv. The team, working in the Technion Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, included research students as well as physicians from Israel's leading hospitals, all who study tumors and cancer treatments.
