New law in Egypt: Life sentence for tunnel diggers between Sinai and Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi enshrined a new law on Monday that called for a life sentence of 25 years in prison for those convicted of digging tunnels or helping to dig tunnels on the border between Egypt's Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip in order to smuggle goods and equipment or to contact outside sources.
