Overnight: Security forces destroy synagogue in Kiryat Arba built on Palestinian land

Israeli security forces destroyed a synagogue in Kiryat Arba overnight on Monday, located near the Cave of the Patriarchs, because it was built on land under Palestinian jurisdiction.

Settlers who live in the area claimed that the land belonged to the local council and was legally built.

On Tuesday morning, dozens of right-wing activists arrived at the scene and began rebuilding the synagogue.
